The Guest House is located in the Upper Valley Region - one of the most beautiful areas in all of New England.

We are close to skiing, cycling and biking trails, equestrian facilities where you can ride horses or take lessons, lakes and rivers for fishing, boating, kayaking, and canoeing, Ice skating rinks and the largest nordic skating track in the world.

Hopkins Center, Lebanon Opera House, Center Stage, Hood Museum, Montshire Museum, Vermont Institute of Science (VINS), and John Smith's birthplace (founder of the Mormon faith) are within a short drive.

There are many reasons why our guests visit the area. They include: a civil union or marriage; vacation; performing at one of the area's many venues; recuperating; undergoing medical therapy or treatment at DHMC or the Norris Cotton Cancer Center; attending a alumni event, reunion, commencement, or parent's function at Dartmouth College, Tuck School of Business, Thayer School of Engineering, or Dartmouth Medical School; spending a romantic weekend or honeymoon; day-hiking in the Green or White Mountains; participating in an enrichment program like the Rassias Institute or King Arthur Flour's Baking School, or a dance weekend with the Upper Valley Dance Network.

We loved staying at the Dartmouth Guest House. You have done a beautiful job with all the details and hospitality touches - from socks to tea bags. Thank you for being so welcoming and also giving your guests privacy . . . We certainly wished we could have had more time to just curl up with a book on the futon, so we’re already looking at our calendar for a winter weekend get-a-way. . . I shared my enthusiasm with several of my [Dartmouth] classmates so you may be getting inquiries from them. A fan club of ’82’s!
